Barnabas Fellowship is a year-long community living experience in which Fellows spend a year serving, teaching, and befriending Barnabas Prep students. Barnabas Prep students are young adults with special needs who desire to learn to live a more independent life.
The Definition of Fellowship:
We believe that this program and the Fellows' involvement is just that: a place where you are in fellowship in every aspect of life with Prep students and with one another in which your time together becomes solely about your commonalities.
Fellows are college students or college graduates willing to contract one year in the Fellowship program of Barnabas Prep and return to their studies or other life opportunities afterwards.
As a Fellow, you will be assisting our students in realizing their goals and dreams. Fellow candidates desire to invest in the lives of young adults with special needs, partnering in the accomplishment of their goals and dreams.
The Fellow program will begin the last week of August and will follow a collegiate schedule. The Prep program ends the 2nd week of May.
We also ask that Fellows be willing to commit to working at Camp Barnabas as a summer staff member the following summer.
The over-all time frame is 12 months. The entire experience will run from the last Week of August to the 2nd week of August, the following year.
